#2 Making the Program

Since April 12th -when the selection committee met at MCLA Gallery 51 to examine all the DownStreet Art applications- MCLA’s Berkshire Cultural Resource Center has been working with artists, landlords and business owners to find the right match between locations and exhibitions.

Actually we can say you we’re going to have artists and curators from all over Massachusetts, Vermont, New York, China and South Africa! Galleries will show exhibitions about war, hair, African-American and Mexican culture, and more. All media present. Spaces will present performances, theatre happenings and video screenings. There will be also concerts and site-specific installations.

Don’t forget to sign your calendar. Main DSA Late Openings nights will be June 23, July 28, August 25 and September 29!

DownStreet Art will officially wrap up the season the weekend of Open Studios, on October 15 and 16.

A final list of exhibitions will be released soon.
