Thanks for #gettingdown

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

For celebrating our 10th season of DownStreet Art.

It’s been an incredibly busy summer in North Adams and as we transition to fall with nature’s vibrant color and cool autumn nights we can’t help but feel a bit nostalgic after this #namazing summer.

For the past 10 years DownStreet Art has worked tirelessly to support the creative economy, giving opportunities to thousands of artists to exhibit, perform and sell their work. We’ve transformed the landscape downtown with colorful murals and temporary art projects. We’ve occupied storefronts, trained the next generation of arts managers and worked with artists at all stages of their careers from emerging artists displaying work for the first time to well-established artists nurturing projects, community collaborations and participatory art experiences.

Art space partners: Outside Gallery, Gravity Gallery, Berkshire Art Museum, Ferrin Contemporary, Cynthia-Reeves, Eclipse Mill Gallery, Artist Book Foundation, Studios at MASS MoCA, and MASS MoCA

Highlights this summer include:

PLUS: North Adams bike-arounds with Bike North Berkshire, Williams College Museum of Art’s Reading Room: People’s Library, Serenitea, Common Folk, PRESS pop-up sale, improvised rap by Seth Brown, 4 months of music under the Mohawk Marquee programmed by BOOM!
