Sunday, September 23, The Long Trail Through the Ages.

Vermont’s Long Trail is arguably the most celebrated hiking trail in New England, and one of the best known in the entire United States. Built between 1910 and 1930 by the Green Mountain Club, it runs from near Williamstown, MA all the way to North Troy, VT. In this talk, explorer and writer Max Grinnell will present a selection of historic images from the University of Vermont that tell the story of this remarkable path. Lobby, 6pm.

Sunday, August 26, Main Street Stage.
A play about King Deramo, whose search for a queen is complicated by betrayal, mistaken identity, comedy, love and magic in this family friendly show that features stilts, masks, puppets, music and more.
Outdoors, 4pm.
Main Street Stage is based in North Adams and will be touring in local neighborhoods all summer.

Sunday, August 19, An Evening of Legendary Poets, read by New England and New York State
poets.

Starts at 4 p.m. and ending at 7 p.m., with open mic time available.  Acoustic music will accompany thru the evening.  This ongoing series is hosted by the Free Poets Collective.  Please contact poeteliz@gmail.com for more information.

Sunday, August 12, Basic concepts of dog behavior, training, and learning.
Bette Isacoff demonstrates how to be perceived as a “leader” by your dog; how he learns, how to get him to do what you want; and what you do, intentionally or inadvertently, that gets in the way of the process. The three Cs of trainin
g (calm, confident, and consistent) will be covered, along with the challenges the dog can present and the makeup of the canine temperament. Lobby, 6pm.

Monday, August 6, Drawing Marathon.
Calling All Artists! Andrew Davis will preside over an all night drawing marathon at Bascom Lodge. This annual event of sleep deprived scribblers starts at 9pm and continues until 9am the following morning (optional breakfast served at 9am). All are invited to participate, dusk to dawn. Bring materials and energy (coffee will be supplied).
Porch, 9pm-9am.

Matt was the artist-in-residence this month. He will make a presentation about the project he worked on and the continuing evolution of Greylock Arts in Adams.
